470000 EquiLine, 2000 ft. roll In Stock 20.0 $199.00

Common Uses

Use for permanent horse fences.

Specs

  • Not conductive
  • Made from polyamide 6 (nylon)
  • 1200 lb breaking strength
  • 4 mm/0.16 in./8 gauge diameter
  • White

Benefits

  • Will not rust, rot, corrode, fade (in color) or mildew.
  • Safer than HT wire because it's larger, more visible, smoother and more elastic (so it flexes away from horses without injury).
  • Low maintenance if installed with care.

Cost

$0.54 per foot

Installation

Use 5 or 6 strands spaced 10 to 12 in. apart. Total height: 50 to 60 in. Either thread through the posts or use staples to attach it to the post. Attach a strand of offset electrical rope at 36 in. Vary this to match size of horse(s).

Precautions

Why does a competing option refer to "cheap imitations" and claim to have the "only safe horse fence containing vital UV inhibitors"? Are they referring to EquiLine?
Possibly because their price (because it's not sold direct) is much higher than that of EquiLine? Hence the "cheap imitation"? Perhaps that's why a competitor might be motivated to try such a "cheap shot." Re the "vital UV" etc., be assured that EquiLine's UV resistance matches any similar polyamide monofilament for horse fences.
