564300 1 gal. Round Bucket with Lid In Stock 0.7 $3.00

Common Uses

Can be used for feeding orphan lambs or for watering individual animals.

Specs

  • 7.5" tall
  • 7" diameter
  • Lid is included

Benefits

Those with less than five orphan lambs prefer a smaller bucket as less waste and/or stale milk replacer will result.

Customization

We'll predrill any of our plastic buckets with the number of 1.5" diameter holes (for our bucket teat units) that you need. Specify location and number of holes. For drilling charge use item #563800.

How to Use

How high should bucket teat units be placed?
Not much higher than a mother's own teat (which is usually low). When a nursing ruminant newborn stretches out its neck, the esophagus forms a groove to carry the milk into the fourth stomach. If it doesn't, the milk falls into the first stomach (intended for grass/hay) instead of the fourth. This causes the first stomach to enlarge and form a potbelly. Place the bucket so the teat is as low as the teats on your ewes.
