Specs

TreeGuards are 36" long, 3 to 4" diameter, double-wall, light-brown plastic.
Benefits

TreeGuards last about 5 years. FiberRod posts will last 10-plus years.

TreeGuards allow herbicide to be sprayed around the guard without risk to the tree. (It's important to understand that weeds steal light and moisture—and thereby kill or stunt more tree seedlings than deer or rabbits.)
Installation

It only takes a minute to place the TreeGuard tube around the young tree and slide a 3/8" FiberRod™ post (sold separately--see accessories tab above) through the precut holes. We do this in the spring and push the FiberRod posts into the soil (10") by hand. (If deer aren't a concern, you can save $$ by cutting the 36" TreeGuards in half and using 3' FiberRods.)

These work great on newly planted trees in our orchard. They even reduce the need to stake the tree in most cases. Keeps rodents at bay.

Goats tore 3 up in the first day. Might work fine for deer but don't buy for goats.
