| How to Use |
Power Connections:
- Your surge protector should only be plugged into a grounded outlet. All connected equipment should be plugged directly into your surge protector. Do not use any extension cord in conjunction with a surge protector.
Indicator Lights:
- The "protected" light should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this light goes out at any time, it means that your surge protector was sacrificed to protect your equipment and should be replaced.
- The "grounded" light should be on when the power switch is turned on. If this does not come on when you plug in your surge protector, you have a ground-wiring problem and you should contact an electrician to properly ground the outlet.
- The light switch also powers up when the unit is powered on. The LED protected and grounded indicator lights power on when the model does not have a lighted power switch. Your surge protector provides maximum surge protection even if the power switch is in the OFF position.
