Specs

  • 3/8 in. diameter.
  • White in color.
  • Pencil-pointed.
  • Coated with urethane.
  • 1 drive cap comes with each bundle of 20 posts (posts must be of the same length).
Benefits

Premier's SmoothCote FiberRods have a urethane outer coating to prevent fiberglass splinters from developing. If you've experienced fiberglass splinters, you know they're painful and hard to see.

Has three clip options (see photos above) to hold conductors, all sold separately, see accessories tab above.
Cost

Sold in packages of 20, but priced each. When ordering, please put in quantities of 20, 40, 60, etc.
Installation

Attach drive cap (sold separately #321810, see accessories tab above) and drive pencil-pointed end into ground with a hammer at designated area. If not using a drive cap use a rubber mallet so as not to create splinters on the post.

Excellent for line fences though it is not the best for corners or curves (upgrade to ½” posts in those situations). Using a drivecap reduces wear on the post thus increasing its longevity. They last in the weather hot or cold (one of our employees used these in his line fence set up over winter to let his graze an old pasture).

These do not have fiberglass splinters like some I bought elsewhere. And they come with a drive cap. It was very annoying to find no drive cap included with the other posts when I was out a long ways to from the shop.
