Common Uses

Pigtail allows it to work well with wire, twine, rope and narrow tape.

Specs

  • Spring steel.
  • Plastic is polyethylene.
  • Suspends conductors 11" from post.
  • Prepackaged in 50, but sold individually.

Installation

Nail-In:

  1. Use a hammer to pound insulator into post. (Refer to photo above to see how insulator should be in relationship to post.)
  2. Secure with a 1.6" staple (sold separately, see under accessories above), so it will not twist.
  3. Thread conductor through insulator.

Screw-In:
  1. Predrill hole in post.
  2. Screw insulator into post. (Refer to photo above to see how insulator should be in relationship to post.)
  3. Secure with a 1.6" staple (sold separately, see under accessories above), so it will not twist.
  4. Thread conductor through insulator.

Precautions

More work to install but stronger than other wood post offsets.

Thes e things are huge. My fault I guess for not reading the descrip better. I guess they will work, but boy are they gargatuan.
