Drive Caps for SmoothCote™ FiberRod

Our FiberRods don't have a step-in foot.

Use our drive caps to protect the top of the FiberRod when driving them in the ground.

Specs

Nylon plastic.
Benefits

Protects the top of FiberRods from splintering.
Installation

In soft soils we push the 3/8 in. rods into the soil with our hands.

For hard soils and larger rods, place the drive cap on top of FiberRods. Drive into the ground with a rubber mallet or steel hammer.
Precautions

Very small, so it is best to have extras in case one gets misplaced.

There are several situations when the 3/8 in. diameter rods are too flexible. For these needs, switch to rods that are 1/2" diameter. They're much stronger (you'll be surprised how much). Many users switched to all 1/2" rods.
