VersaNet® 11/30/3 Electric Netting

Prefabricated, ready to use, lightweight garden and critter fence. Hand tension is all that is required. Line posts are already built into the fence and usually can be inserted and removed by hand without tools. Exactly like VersaNet 20, but 10 in. taller so it also will stop coyotes, small to medium breeds of sheep as well as pigs.

Key features:

  1. Very close mesh spacing. Lowest energized horizontal strands are 2 in. apart and the verticals only 3 in. apart.
  2. It's short. So it's easy to install and remove. Also, most adults can easily step over it.
  3. Highly adaptable. Like all of our nets, they almost self-adjust to irregular shapes, curves, corners, etc.
  4. Two colors available: White and black: Most visible. Use when aesthetics are less important. Green: Less visible. Use where aesthetics are important and there is less likelihood of contact by uninformed human visitors.

Is your net sagging? See our VersaNet PLUS has posts every 6.8 ft (vs. 11.5 ft for standard VersaNet). More posts means less sag and a more versatile fence. See accessories tab below.

Benefits

Easy to move. Choice of 2 colors. End posts act as built in gates if needed, otherwise most folks can step over fence after it has been unhooked from the energizer. Taller size (30" instead of 20") is better protection for a wider range of animals.

Cost

#202900 - $.80 per ft (164' green roll with single spike posts).
#202910 - $1.28 per ft (82' green roll with single spike posts).

#202950 - $.80 per ft (164' b/w roll with single spike posts).

Installation

See PDF above for installation instructions.

Precautions

  • This is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier.
  • The first time you put animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.
  • This net may need extra supports posts at the corners or ends.
  • Dry conditions and wintertime usages—may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing.

Dry or frozen ground many cause the NetPost spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

Troubleshooting

If the voltage drops below 3000v on the net, you need to turn off the energizer and unhook the net from the energizer. Test just the energizer by itself. If the voltage is 5000v or higher on the energizer the problem is in the net. The most common problem is that the lowest "hot" strand has been caught around one of the metal spikes on the posts and is shorting it out. The net must be at least 2" away from anything metal (metal posts, existing fences, spikes on support posts).

Warranty

With proper care, netting should last 5-7 years. Replacements will be prorated.

Works well around gardens and sweet corn patches. For corners and ends extra posts may be needed. Regular VersaNet at times will sag a little between the posts so we offer VersaNet Plus, a net with extra built in posts to reduce sag.

I have used electric netting fence for 15 years now to divide a sheep pasture and for around the garden to keep the chickens out, My original net fence finally wore out & the recent purchase was to replace the old. its great fencing and very girl friendly. I have double and single spike , double is a bit more stable and easier to stomp in!

Rabbits were eating my vegetable seedlings as soon as they came out of the ground, until I put up the VersaNet Plus. I'm sure it will keep the squirrels out of the tomatoes and corn later in the summer, as well. Also keeps out my free range chickens, who can damage young seedlings with their digging and scratching. Easy to install, nearly invisible in the green and black, and easy to step over for getting in and out.

I'm using 250' of the 30" Versanet Plus to protect a vegetable garden, energized by a PRS 50. I would definitely recommend getting the "Plus" model with posts every 6.8 feet; I'm pretty sure the regular version would sag too much for my liking. The Plus looks great, and the close post spacing allows lots of flexibility to avoid obstacles and place corners exactly where I need them. With the Plus model, I don't seem to need heavier step-in posts for the corners; the regular posts bend a bit at the corners, but nothing objectionable. Installation was incredibly easy--my seven year old actually put up most of it. Such a blessing after working with heavy T-posts and welded wire fence--never again. As the product info says, the fence conforms well to changes in ground slope. My thanks to Premier for a great product.

Good shopping experience. Customer support is good. Support poles should be included for corner support for this product even though it states it is not needed.

Fence netting is well made. The posts neeed to be better so the netting does not sag. I had to add additional step in posts between the original posts to eliminate the sag. Definately have extra posts on hand. Other than the post issue this is a good product.

Great product, would be nice if they pre connected leads for the fencer and had stronger posts but by adding the stronger corner posts cure this issue of sagging. I got the green ones and they disappear into the yard. Seems very well made.
