How to Use

Medium Gripple:

  2. To tighten, for best results use Gripple Tensioning Tool (sold separately) and follow instructions with tool.
  3. To change or remove Gripple, release the holding mechanism by inserting a small nail into tiny hole above large hole.
Large/Equiline Gripple:

  2. To tighten, for best results use Gripple Tensioning Tool (sold separately) and follow instructions with tool.
  3. To change or remove Gripple, release the holding mechanism by inserting a small nail into tiny hole above large hole.
Barbed Gripple:
  1. Cut the wire close to the barb so that you have at least a 2" tail of wire to push into the Gripple.
  2. Insert both twisted wires of one side of the splice into the large hole of the Gripple until the wire comes out of the other end.
  3. Insert the other portion to be spliced into the opposite end of the gripple until the wire comes out the other end.
  4. Stretch the wire to the desired strain.

Precautions

Use Gripple Tensioning Tool (#336830) to achieve desired level of tension.

For use separately or with GreenCote woven wire. Coiled "catch-wound". Unwinds best as individual coils. A smooth wire HT fence is the lowest-cost permanent fence per year of useful life if installed correctly. It is simpler to install than woven wire.
Item # 301400 - In Stock

A very effective barbed wire that is not affected by the amount of weeds or whether the soil is dry, wet or snow-covered. Install it right and you can forget it.

How it differs from others:
  • Has larger gauge line wires.
  • The teeth of each barb is longer.
  • Twice as resistant to rust due to its unique outer green-polymer coating.
The combination is a very aggressive animal barrier that lasts a long time.
