StirrupPosts™ Portable Fence Posts

Portable step-in post used for extra support in electric netting and as line posts for temporary fences. "Stirrup" shaped foot opening makes putting these posts in quick and easy. Best foot design for a plastic post. Foot cannot slip off and the pressure is applied right on top of the steel spike. Users found the shape to be stronger and tougher than expected.

Specs

  • Plastic clips are designed to hold rope, twine, tape (both 1/2" and 1 1/2", and low tensile wire.
  • Available in 2 sizes: 37" and 54".
  • Heights are inches above soil, posts also have a 7' long, 5/16" diameter metal spike that goes into the ground.
  • Stirrup opening is 4.6" by 2.8".

Installation

Set post spike on the ground at desired location. Place foot in 'Stirrup' and push the post into the ground. Attach conductors at the desired height.

Can also pull out post by placing foot in 'Stirrup' and lifting up with foot.

Precautions

They're plastic. More likely to break than a steel pigtail or fiber-rod post.

These post are not good for corners or where there is a lot of up/down strain. They are not meant to be a permanent post.
Trouble Shooting

Can't be hit with a hammer. Instead, in hard soils, make a starter hole for the spike with a battery drill.
