This is our third year using this stand, shearing Shetland sheep, and brushing out Cashmere goats. The adjustable head restraint is great, and invaluable when animals' heights vary so much. The ramp is a back saver; NO LIFTING!! The rails are a great help.

I can't believe I have been wrestling goats and sheep for so long. Should have bought this 10 years ago. Wild one's even calm when they get in the head restraint. Great for sheep and goats. Keeps them very calm while they are getting worked on. Great for trimming and inspections and treatments.

Excellent we used to shear the sheep and trim hooves and our goats hooves able to adjust the head easy for all sizes of animals except we will be putting a vinyl tube over the chain to give some cushion. I will be recommending this to anyone.

We used the trimming stand the other day to trim the goats and it worked GREAT! I love the height and we have the side rails too. They work good. I would like to see them be able to insert into the bracket about an inch more. The stand was very easy to use and easy to move.

Well made, but a little heavy. Will put wheels on it for the Grand daughter to use at Fair. I will put vinyl tubing on the chain just to cushion it. I would recommend it to any one. It's a very good quality to price ratio. The delivery time was fantastic.

I LOVE this stand. I just wish I had purchased it sooner. I raise Shetland sheep and shearing between 40 and 50 was a real challenge before this stand. The stand is very easy to set up, take down and move from place to place. It holds the sheep securely and the sheep are much more cooperative than before I got the stand. The chain does slip off the noses of some of my smaller or more crafty sheep, but I am able to fix the problem before the sheep thinks of leaving the stand. I have already recommended this stand to several friends.

Very heavy duty head piece, arrived quickly and in good shape. I like the design of the chain going over the nose. I might even need to invest in the side rails!

We raise Shetland Sheep; going from shearing 8 to 50 having the right equipment for the job saves a tremendous amount of time. System was easy to set up and animals moved up the ramp without any trouble. We did need to shorten the tubing on the head bar as it was too tall for our smaller ewes and the chain does have a tendency to slide off smaller faced sheep. I am accustom to making modification for our smaller sheep and would recommend the stand to owners regardless of breed.

I orered the headpiece only and I was very impressed when it arived a day earlier than it was supposed to. However, when I opened the package I was a little disapointed to find that the chain wouldn't slide into the reciever. It was a simple fix (I had to pry the reciever open with a hammer) but it was a little agrivating to have to make further adjustments to an ordered purchase. Overall I think this is a great product that does exactly what I want it to do.

I own angora and pygora goats. I never used a stand before because the angora goats were easy to hold and work with. The pygora goats have no horns and I was having trouble working with them, so decided to try a stand. I don't have the room for a traditional one and chose the portable one. The height is great, it's sturdy and easy to store. It works great with both goats. I did purchase the side rails, but not the ramp. I would recommend the side rails since the goats tend to move towards one side and I wouldn't want them to step off.

I'm a 4-Her who raises market goats and sheep, and needed a stand that would work for both. I spent a very long time looking online, and this stand is by far the cheapest.(Even with shipping.) I've had it a year, and I am still pleased with it. It's a little taller than most stands, which I love! But it is harder to put the animals on. I lose the securing pins often, but they are super easy to replace. My one and only real complaint is that the chain doesn't usually stay secure over the animal's nose. Not a huge deal, but it can be troublesome.
All that said, I totally recommend this, and would buy it again. If have found no other problems whatsoever. It hasn't rusted at all, and I live in a very damp area. It was delivered promptly, and was in excellent condition.
I have never purchased or used the ramp or rails, but sometimes consider buying just one rail for the more troublesome animals.
