Benefits

Easy to move. Choice of 2 colors. End posts act as built in gates if needed, otherwise most folks can step over fence after it has been unhooked from the energizer. Taller size (30" instead of 20") is better protection for a wider range of animals.

Cost

#202964 - $1.38 per ft (50' b/w roll with single spike posts).
#202965 - $1.03 per ft (100' b/w roll with single spike posts).

#202966 - $1.38 per ft (50' green roll with single spike posts).
#202967 - $1.03 per ft (100' green roll with single spike posts).

Troubleshooting

If the voltage drops below 3000v on the net, you need to turn off the energizer and unhook the net from the energizer. Test just the energizer by itself. If the voltage is 5000v or higher on the energizer the problem is in the net. The most common problem is that the lowest "hot" strand has been caught around one of the metal spikes on the posts and is shorting it out. The net must be at least 2" away from anything metal (metal posts, existing fences, spikes on support posts).

Precautions

This is a pain barrier, not a physical barrier.

Dry conditions and wintertime usages—may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing.

Dry or frozen ground many cause the NetPost spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

Works well around gardens and sweet corn patches. VersaNet Plus, a net with extra built in posts to reduce sag.

Perfect for my domestic duck yards. It keeps the ducks in, and the four-footed menaces out. I can step over it easily (sometimes being lazy, leaving the charger on, and taking my chances stepping over!) - very convenient height for duck yards. "Plus" is a plus - definitely worth getting the more closely spaced posts.

I purchased the VersaNetâ„¢ PLUS 11/30/3 Electric Netting to keep the geese of my lawn. The netting was breeze to install (you do need two people). I will take it down when the pond freezes and reinstall in the spring. My neighbors had custom fences built. They are not portable, are unsightly and cost more.

Had our 50' x 50' garden ravaged by woodchucks, racoons, and (possibly) squirrels last year. Placed two 100' VersaNet plus sections in early June, coupled to a Patriot P5 AC/DC Energizer; a couple of bean plants had already been chewed down. Absolutely no signs of 4-footed animal damage since, and there's a woodchuck den within 25' of the garden.

The spacing on these posts is none too close, so definitely worth getting this,as opposed to the standard VersaNet. The corner support posts (PowerPosts) tended to sag inward in the heat, and so needed tent pegs with twine to pull the tops outward. (This was installed around an existing welded-wire fence.)

In all, a worthwhile purchase that should make garden labors fruitful for several years to come.

Works Great on our 4 150lb Pigs the only time one got out was when I left the charger off. I turned it on and it only took seconds for them to repect it again. Thanks Great Product!!
