We'll place in a hat the names of those who join us on this excursion. When we meet in Ireland we'll draw names—and 10 folks will be given $200 each.
Hi folks,
For a few months now we have been working closely with the agricultural tour company that assisted us with our previous trip to the UK. We have been debating the details, researching hotels and planning our route in Ireland. We are happy to share with you what we have put together. This, of course, is a working itinerary. If you have specific suggestions, please let us know.
The tour dates have been set for September 13th - 22nd. This means you will leave the USA on September 12th. You will make arrangements on your own to arrive at Shannon International Airport in the refreshingly small town of Shannon, Ireland. Departure will be out of the Dublin International Airport, just outside of Dublin, which is fast becoming a cultural and culinary destination in Europe.
This trip promises to be one steeped in history, adventure, local agriculture and famous Irish charm. Our tour of the Emerald Isle begins in Limerick, which is only a 15-minute drive from the Shannon Airport. We will explore the region surrounding Limerick, visit a sheep farm and hopefully a stud ram auction, and see the straight-out-of-a-postcard village of Adare. Read More »
How long a trip?
We will spend 10 days in Ireland.
How much will it cost?
$2,650 per person based on double occupancy. A single supplement fee is available, or two singles can share a room with two beds.
What are the exact dates?
September 13th - 22nd, 2010
