Goat & Sheep Net 9/42/6
A prefabricated fence that has 9 horizontal twines (8 conductive); is 42" tall installed, and has a plastic string vertical every 6".
White PVC posts are built into the mesh every 13.5 ft The result, when energized properly, is a nearly impenetrable mesh to sheep, goats, coyotes and dogs.
How does Goat Net compare to ElectroStop and ElectroStop Plus?
- Weaker posts (smaller in diameter). Posts spaced apart 13.5'.
- Has string verticals instead of plastic struts. So it is more prone to sagging and more likely to tangle and bunch when installing and removing.
- Verticals occur every 6" instead of 12".
- One less energized strand (9 vs 10).
- Electrical resistance (380 ohms/1000 ft) is 10 times higher. Not advised for fences longer than 2 to 3 rolls of netting or fences exposed to heavy weed load.
- Is less expensive.
- Yellow/white instead of white/black.

It is best to have animals trained to electric fencing before you turn them out in the net only. The first time you put the animals in the net, you should be available to watch them for a while. That way if one were to get into the fence and get caught, you can turn the power off and get them loose.
Note: We’re aware that the lower price of this net will encourage folks to choose this version. Think carefully before you do so. Customers who are unhappy with netting are often those who’ve chosen its farmstore/catalog equivalents. So why do we offer it? Because it is similar to nets from other sources—and comparisons make decisions easier.
If unsure, give us a call at 800-282-6631 and ask to speak to consultant. They will help you make the optimal netting choice for your fencing needs.
Use only with a low or wide impedance intermittent pulse energizer. Warning! Do NOT use continuous output energizers with electric netting due to risk of fire. (Fi-Shock™ brand energizers which are sold as low impedance, continuous current output should NOT be used with electric netting.) All energizers sold on Premier's website use an intermittent pulse and are suitable for use with electric netting.
Dry conditions and wintertime usage may reduce the effectiveness of electric fencing.
Dry or frozen ground many cause the NetPost spikes to bend or break if inserted with force. Pilot holes may be needed.

Very easy set-up, take-down, moving, manipulating, etc. I also have the ElectroStop fence, and paired it with this product to expand browsing area for my goats. Works exactly how I wanted it to.
Like other reviews, the only drawback is some sagging in the fencing and difficulty with the single spike posts. I knew this might be an issue, so nothing surprising. But it still keeps the goats in line and serves it's purpose.

We haven't even electrified the fence yet and the goats stay inside. Very easy to install and reposition.

My fence arrived within 2 days of messing up my order and having customer service have to change it - I could not believe it! The fence arrived and I literally was able to take it out of the box and set it up. It is so easy and convenient! The customer service at Premier1 is second to none. I will certainly purchase from them again.

Ordered two of these for my Pygmy goats. The first roll took a very little learning to do for set up. By the second roll of fencing I was pro. The set up is very easy. You unroll it, put the rods in the ground, and hook up to an electric fencer. Only needed two fence posts per side to pull it a little tighter. Took maybe a little over an hour to set up. The goats tested it a couple times. One goat even got his horns and leg stuck but got back out of the fence fine. I was worried the fence broke but it held up! The goats don’t even go near it anymore.

If your goats are not mischievous and are easy to keep in, then this fence is for you. If your goats like to test fences, you may want to buy the more durable netting. Easy install.
