Tri-Pod Waterer, 8 gal
Large-volume waterer for those who tire of frequently refilling small waterers.
To keep the water clean, it has 3 legs that elevate the waterer off the ground or bedding.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Specs
- Capacity: 8 gallon
- Suited for: adults
- Height: 22"
- Number of birds: 100
- Waterfowl: yes
- Base sits 5.5" above the ground
Note: The exact number of birds to water is difficult to determine as there are many factors that influence intake; salt and protein levels in the diet, humidity, temperature, productivity (growth or egg production) and the birds ability to process feed and water.
How to Use
- Fill from top with a hose.
- Make sure valve is closed when filling.
- Once full, screw the cap back on and open the valve to enable the water to flow. Water will stop on its own due to vacuum seal.

LOVE this waterer. We have owned several over the years and they leak or rust out. I was concerned that it might be too light for the strong winds we get in north/west Iowa, but it has some weight to it and I haven't had a problem with it blowing over. The design is great and keeps the birds from tipping it over or playing in it and getting it dirty. The only complaint is the legs. I don't like the way they attach. It's not a deal breaker, but maybe something to consider in the next design.

Best waterer I’ve ever bought (and I’ve bought a LOT)! Doesn’t leak!

So far this seems like a great product. I have had many other waterers and they usually dont last long. Other brands dont seal very well and it is a constant struggle to tighten them so they do not spill the water out all at once. This waterer is very easy to tighten and seals perfectly. The 8 gallon capacity is extremely convenient if you have a lot of birds like I do. I also like how it is raised above the ground so the water stays cleaner longer. I purchased a 2nd one for my goats. They seem to love it also. Their water stays clean so they always have fresh clean water. I highly recommend this product.

This is an amazing waterer! We’ve had it a couple of weeks and it is the best one we have used so far! It is sturdy and very well made. I’m not sure about mildew or anything like it. But we’ve felt with that with all our waterers except for our metal ones. It has been a good buy!

This is easy to fill if you have a hose or a wide mouthed funnel. The chickens took to it instantly. The dish does get dirty so you have to swip it out clean every day. The only frustrating element to it is the valve where the water comes out should be a hair lower. If the entire setup isn't PERFECTLY level, water runs out the side at a slow trickle. The instructions do state that it has to be level, but even once I do get it level, if the chickens scratch at the ground around it a little, it's immediately off. Just a tad too sensitive. Should have a little room for error if you ask me since most chicken yards I've seen are perfect. Plan to put a bead of silicone around the dish to try to solve the issue.
