Tri-Pod Waterer, 8 gal
Large-volume waterer for those who tire of frequently refilling small waterers.
To keep the water clean, it has 3 legs that elevate the waterer off the ground or bedding.
Instructions/Diagrams:
Specs
- Capacity: 8 gallon
- Suited for: adults
- Height: 22"
- Number of birds: 100
- Waterfowl: yes
- Base sits 5.5" above the ground
Note: The exact number of birds to water is difficult to determine as there are many factors that influence intake; salt and protein levels in the diet, humidity, temperature, productivity (growth or egg production) and the birds ability to process feed and water.
How to Use
- Fill from top with a hose.
- Make sure valve is closed when filling.
- Once full, screw the cap back on and open the valve to enable the water to flow. Water will stop on its own due to vacuum seal.
- Water fill level is high so be sure to set it on flat ground to avoid spillage.

I had bought these 25 yrs ago and just bought replacements. I like that it keeps bird, even geese, from fouling the entire water supply and one refill can last more than one day.

Seems good so far. Haven't had to refill in a week!

love the fact that it holds so much water but you need to rethink the cleaning process. almost impossible to do. having to use a high pressure hose and it makes a terrible mess. had to run a hose to every pen cause it's not easy for a 120 lb female to carry very far, full of water!!! thanks and enjoyed reading all of te other reviews!!

I have gone thru so many waterers till I found this one. I use mine outside and in a large barn where my chickens live. It is easy to fill. It is easy for the birds to use. It holds plenty of water. The chickens do not poop in it or scratch stuff into it. They are great for my free range chickens.

FANTASTIC!!!! The water stays clean. I don't have to give them water everyday. I have three chickens and the water lasts for at least 4 days. But I only fill it 1/3 of the way. Just so they get fresh water every so many days. But, I know if I go out of town, they will have plenty of water.
