Good product, fits perfect in the location I needed. Don’t buy the the one without bin extension or cage only. The wall mount one came with everything you need to do both cage mount or wall mount with bin extension. Cheaper plus it gives you options.
Food adjustment is ok—I have crumbles and it’s wide open but wont drop enough feed. But as is it works. Some feed does get flicked out with beak but they’re chickens. Waste is not that bad.
If you want no mess, build or buy tall tube feeders. I have two of these feeders side by side DIY mounted for my coop. This feeder has extension and holds a lot food. Lid is ok, but doesn’t lock into place. But how it works for me is ok.

It’s been difficult to find a good feeder, I guess because most let chickens free range. It’s not best for my chickens so for the last year + I’ve gone thru quite a few feeders to find one that works well. This isn’t it either. I gave it 3 stars because the chickens found it easy to use. My issue is that I want something I don’t have to fill daily — that I can go away for a few days and know they won’t run out of food. I got the additional silos but they don’t latch very well and the food ends up spilling out, little by little, but I expected it to hold it better. I will keep looking...

It is a fairly recent purchase, but so far I really like this addition/change in the chicken world. The Girls seem to enjoy gathering at this feeder to gossip and of course eat.

It looked good but after putting it up, I had some issues. The hooks that camp with is too big for the 1/4 hardware cloth. Not a big deal, I could have just cut the wire to make it 1/2" (but I screwed it on to the wire instead.) However, after the hens started using them, there were so much waste on the floor. Even after adjusting the opening for small amount of feeds to come out, same big waste. The hens were able to flick the pallet feeds out. The problem was the angle of the opening. Also, the silo felt like a flimsy plastic, not the same hard plastic like the feeder body. Switched back to my homemade tube feeder.
