FOOTNOTES:

1 Green grass indicates soil is moist and vegetation contact with wires is probable so less circuit resistance. A higher number indicates more ability to cope with green vegetation contact.

2 Dry (brown) grass means less soil moisture-therefore higher circuit resistance. A higher number indicates more ability in this situation.

3 Assumes 70% of the lowest live wire is in contact with vegetation. Less contact means more feet of fence can be energized.

4 Estimates how easily the energizer and accompanying battery could be moved.

5 Expected drain from battery per hour.

6 Predicts when a 12 volt, 100 ampere hour deep cycle battery will need recharging. Assumes being drawn down to 40%.

7 Predicts solar panel size (in watts) needed for each energizer. The low number of a range assumes 6 average solar insolation hours per day. High number assumes 4 hours.
