The feeder seems to be well made. There is very little food waste. The grill keeps the chickens from flinging food all over the ground. The adjustable hight allows me to dial in the right feed rate for the food. I did buy the rain hood as well. It works very well. It has yet to blow off or allow rain to get at the food. I made a rain hood for my old feeder and this works so much better. Very pleased, it was expensive but so far seems to be worth it.

I like the threaded handle and interior design, plus the rain hat. Easy to fill and carry and seems like it won't come apart like many feeders do. But the leg design disappointed me, I would suggest these should be threaded rather than friction-fit. And a color besides green, so easier to find when lost in the grass. I already lost one just driving it down to the pasture before I could even put it to use. When using the rain hat, the legs seem needed, otherwise the feeder is very low and it's awkward for them to get under the rain hat to eat. So I'm hoping extra legs can be purchased. I recommend keeping a few extras on hand, as they will surely be lost more than once, especially for folks who rotate pasture frequently and move them a lot. I may try to epoxy them on?

Bought 4 to use with broiler and occasionally they would close the feeder down. Cone could be larger as some of the feed was not funneled to the outside. Some mold issues as the legs would not push fully in (they did stay in place even though they were not fully in) and with the plastic lock nut that made it difficult to thread on the first time but 1 out of 4 is good.

The best feeder I have found. The dividers keep the chickens from scattering food on the ground. The chickens also seem to like it.

Bought several of these with the hats for hens in the pasture! They work great, no wasted feed and it has never allowed rain to get the feed wet even though it has been thru many down-pour rain storms here.
