This is an economical post that works good in most applications. It will bend so works best in straight line applications.

Look stout and long lasting.
Yet on day 2 the 3 month old calf got borerd and bent 1/2 of them flat to the ground. That's a great way to short out the solar charger. Now to figure out what to do with them..

I have used these for several years now and they have worked great. I move my electric fence most every day in the summer and these have held up. They have taken some abuse. One I don't know if I will be able to straighten after the Elk came in a few years ago. Another I managed to burn through the plastic while pulling the fence. It must have been on a sharp corner with a lot of stress because I pull the rope and tape through these all the time and it is the only one that has gone clear through. I don't live in a damp area but they are in a flood irrigated field. I was concerned the white would wear off and they would rust but that has not been the case for me. I will often use these on the corners whith the step in plastic posts on the straight run. They won't do a 90 degree turn so plan on using 2 posts for sharp corners. These will step into frozen ground but be careful not to get the shorter tip into the ground very far, you need to be able to wiggle them to get them out. If the ground is compact or solid ice I will use a nail or something to pre drill a hole, careful the hole can be difficult to relocate in thick grass. Also, I have goats so I will use the clips to add a second or third strand. These can over time slide down. If I have issues with them sliding I will alternate the with the plastic step in posts. Normally the slipping is not an issue though.
