Common Uses

For trimming show sheep and goats, shearing or foot trimming. Restrains animals at a comfortable level.

New design improvements!

  1. Folding carry handle on the stand and ramp prevents sheep from getting their legs caught.
  2. Stronger mounting points for the side rails (old style could easily be bent if stand was dropped on them).
  3. Side rails extend further into mounts to prevent them from coming out when leaned on.
  4. Better fit of head piece in the stand (old style tended to be loose).
  5. Improved head piece securing bolt (easier on the fingers than old style).

Hot-dip galvanizing ensures an attractive appearance and the lowest cost per year of use. (Hot-dip galvanized steel resists rusting longer than painted steel.)

Trimming Stand:

  • Includes the headpiece but not the ramp or side rails
  • Stands 22" off the ground
  • Ramp measures 48" x 20"
  • Side rails measure 25" tall x 24" wide
  • Adjustable head piece

Optional Side Rails - 25" tall and 24" wide: (if trimming stand purchased prior to 7/20/10)
Optional Side Rails - 25" tall and 21-1/2" wide: (if trimming stand purchased after 7/20/10)
  • Side rails fit securely to the stand to reduce animal movement.
  • Reduces risk of accidental falls from the platform.

Optional Ramp:
  • 4' long x 20" wide.
  • Reduces effort and risk of injury to both animal and user (often encountered when lifting animal on to a stand without a ramp).
  • Ramp hooks directly into the diamond mesh on the trimming stand floor.

Head Piece Only:
  • Galvanized.
  • 1" x 1" square tube is 43" long (measured from the bottom of the head piece).
  • Thumbscrew enables users to adjust the front vertical bar up or down to fit most sheep or goats.

  • Inexpensive
  • Hot-dip galvanizing ensures an attractive appearance and the lowest cost per year of use. (Hot-dip galvanized steel resists rusting longer than painted steel.)
  • Quick and simple to carry and store
  • Lightweight
  • Ships via UPS

This is a well made inexpensive fitting stand for my beginner showman. We did swap out the metal chain that holds the head with a plastic one. The only thing that would make it better is to have "L" shaped hooks so the head chain would not pop off if the animal moves. We are going get some different ones welded on to make the chain more secure. Overall a great product for the price!

I purchased this to use instead of my older stand. It is great you can work on a sheep by yourself and not worry about them stepping off. The only issue that I have is the holes for the pins in the leg braces were drilled on the wrong sides. You can't get the pin in the whole to stabilize the legs.

Purchased for trimming goat hooves. Lightweight, sturdy, great height. Did not purchase the side rails or ramp. I thought, and still think, that those would be unnecessary, in fact an impediment, for my use.

Neat and sturdy stand. I especially like how the head chain restrains the lambs head. We anticipate many years of use.

I purchased the trimming stand, ramp and side rails. It is all very sturdy and works great. Such an improvement from the homemade stand I had been using for the last four years. Customer service was superb! Treat yourself (and your back) to this work saving device!

I spent days online browsing for a show lamb stand, even called around & considered driving four hours to pick one up. So glad I went with the premier stand & side rails! It was the best price I found & the shipping was very fair. I have been using an older stand & it was day & night difference on how this stand handles the lamb. The head piece was awesome! When I put the lamb on the stand it was in place- no moving. Great for training to stand for the show. The side rails are great for shearing by yourself - you don't have to worry about the lamb stepping off. I have been showing / raising lambs for 26 years & I highly recommend this product!

Stand is very sturdy. Headpiece works ok. I like that it is adjustable. Can't seem to keep their heads steady in it. It is light enough for me (a woman) to move around easily.

Good trimming stand, very sturdy, not the best welding job, but sturdy. Bought specifically for grooming 4H lambs. Head piece isn't great for hair breeds with a shorter face, would be nice if that was adjustable. For a longer faced sheep and woolies the head piece would be perfect. The height adjustment on the head piece is great. The ramp is wonderful, no lifting stubborn lambs. Optional side rails are handy, but not sturdy, they will work for now, but will not hold up to heavy use. Overall, we are satisfied and will get many years of use out of our stand.

This is our third year using this stand, shearing Shetland sheep, and brushing out Cashmere goats. The adjustable head restraint is great, and invaluable when animals' heights vary so much. The ramp is a back saver; NO LIFTING!! The rails are a great help.

I can't believe I have been wrestling goats and sheep for so long. Should have bought this 10 years ago. Wild one's even calm when they get in the head restraint. Great for sheep and goats. Keeps them very calm while they are getting worked on. Great for trimming and inspections and treatments.

Excellent we used to shear the sheep and trim hooves and our goats hooves able to adjust the head easy for all sizes of animals except we will be putting a vinyl tube over the chain to give some cushion. I will be recommending this to anyone.

We used the trimming stand the other day to trim the goats and it worked GREAT! I love the height and we have the side rails too. They work good. I would like to see them be able to insert into the bracket about an inch more. The stand was very easy to use and easy to move.

Well made, but a little heavy. Will put wheels on it for the Grand daughter to use at Fair. I will put vinyl tubing on the chain just to cushion it. I would recommend it to any one. It's a very good quality to price ratio. The delivery time was fantastic.

I LOVE this stand. I just wish I had purchased it sooner. I raise Shetland sheep and shearing between 40 and 50 was a real challenge before this stand. The stand is very easy to set up, take down and move from place to place. It holds the sheep securely and the sheep are much more cooperative than before I got the stand. The chain does slip off the noses of some of my smaller or more crafty sheep, but I am able to fix the problem before the sheep thinks of leaving the stand. I have already recommended this stand to several friends.

Very heavy duty head piece, arrived quickly and in good shape. I like the design of the chain going over the nose. I might even need to invest in the side rails!

We raise Shetland Sheep; going from shearing 8 to 50 having the right equipment for the job saves a tremendous amount of time. System was easy to set up and animals moved up the ramp without any trouble. We did need to shorten the tubing on the head bar as it was too tall for our smaller ewes and the chain does have a tendency to slide off smaller faced sheep. I am accustom to making modification for our smaller sheep and would recommend the stand to owners regardless of breed.

I orered the headpiece only and I was very impressed when it arived a day earlier than it was supposed to. However, when I opened the package I was a little disapointed to find that the chain wouldn't slide into the reciever. It was a simple fix (I had to pry the reciever open with a hammer) but it was a little agrivating to have to make further adjustments to an ordered purchase. Overall I think this is a great product that does exactly what I want it to do.

I own angora and pygora goats. I never used a stand before because the angora goats were easy to hold and work with. The pygora goats have no horns and I was having trouble working with them, so decided to try a stand. I don't have the room for a traditional one and chose the portable one. The height is great, it's sturdy and easy to store. It works great with both goats. I did purchase the side rails, but not the ramp. I would recommend the side rails since the goats tend to move towards one side and I wouldn't want them to step off.

I'm a 4-Her who raises market goats and sheep, and needed a stand that would work for both. I spent a very long time looking online, and this stand is by far the cheapest.(Even with shipping.) I've had it a year, and I am still pleased with it. It's a little taller than most stands, which I love! But it is harder to put the animals on. I lose the securing pins often, but they are super easy to replace. My one and only real complaint is that the chain doesn't usually stay secure over the animal's nose. Not a huge deal, but it can be troublesome.
All that said, I totally recommend this, and would buy it again. If have found no other problems whatsoever. It hasn't rusted at all, and I live in a very damp area. It was delivered promptly, and was in excellent condition.
I have never purchased or used the ramp or rails, but sometimes consider buying just one rail for the more troublesome animals.
