20B test light

Hi guys and gals,
I have a 20B I have been using for several years. Sunday it wasn't flashing, to I pressed the test button and it showed I needed a new battery. The battery was one year old and I had been using it heavily so I thought nothing of it and ordered a new one Monday morning, to my surprise and delight it arrived here Tuesday afternoon. Kudos to the shipping department and Spee Dee delivery. I installed new battery (9v 165) and fired it up. Hit the test button and it shows flashing green (need new battery). Unhooked from fence and still flashes green. I cleaned the ground connection and still flashes green. Any ideas?
Thanks

Nate,
Give your battery a few hours. When you pull the tape off the top you are letting air in those little holes that activate the battery. It can take up to several hours for the battery to become fully 'operational'. Test it again this evening and then test the fence itself to see what kind of voltage is being put out on the fence.
