sheep ear tags

I recently bought 3 scottish blackfaced sheep, I ordered 5x ear tags from you with my name and address on them in case they get out. Did I get the right thing, they are 4 to 5 months old. One of the rams has tags in his ears already, how do I get them out and should I use the hole in his ear to put in the new tag? Thanks

You can cut the center shaft with a foot trimer to remove the old tag.
If the hole is not too large you can use it again.
The 5X tags will work fine for your sheep.
