High tension fence for goats

I have 1/2 dozen goats and I am looking for a permanent boundry fence for them. We are planning on adding a few cows later. I am looking at your high tension smooth wire fence with off set wires. I figure I need an offest wire down low and one about 1/2 way up where the goats might rub. Just wanted to get some feedback from you about about how well this fence works keeping goats in. We do live in a rural area of Virginia with predators but thus far they have not been a problem. We do not get much snow in the winter but we do get ice storms.

You can use a multi-strand hi-tensile fence for the goats. It is not as effective as a woven wire or a woven wire combination for the goats or the predators and /or guard dogs. We put two offset wires on it at 27" and at 12" when we do use the smooth wire only. The offset wires will have to be kept 'hot' continuously- the goats are know for 'walking' up a fence if it's not and getting out.
