Perimeter fencing for horses and goats

Author: Sally  Date:   08-31-08 15:47 I'm very new and know nothing about fencing other than what I've been trying to read about. We just moved onto 10 acres and want to put up semi-permanent to permanent perimeter fencing on two 2-4 acre pastures for use with both goats and horses, and hopefully a couple dairy cows in the future. What fence will work for both horses and other animals such as goats and cattle?

Author: Mandy  Date:   09-02-08 12:04 The most secure system would be to use the 10/48/3 woven wire with 2 offset electrified ropes. The woven wire is 48" tall and has 3" spacings. The two hot ropes can be used to keep the animals from leaning/pushing on the fence.
