What to do with "left over" electric net

I want to use electric netting to divide a sheep pasture. The length of the run is about 1.5 rolls of netting. What's the best way to deal with the left over netting when you are energizing the netting. I assume you cant just roll it up at the end.

You will not want to roll it up at the end- it sags and touches the ground in too many places and will short out. You will want to turn it around and double it back along itself.

When you're doubling back, can the fencing touch the orginal fence line?

Thanks

It can touch the 'original'- make sure that you not getting any snapping/sparking between the two. If you are gettting that snap move them apart from one another (in inch or 2 would work). Otherwise that snap/spark can cause little burns in the net.
