I have 3 premier shear heads and a 4000c motor. I am ALWAYS having problems with them. The forks that hold the cutters on are always breaking i was told i have the tension knob to tight and that is why. I was told to "hand tighten the knob the go back 1/4 a turn" i geuss the term :hand tighten" means something different to me because this weekend, they broke again. If i cant figure this out i am going to have to buy another brand of clippers. can you help!!!!

We seldom see a fork break. In most cases we see the cutter retainer that needs to
be replaced. This is not from over tighting, it is from not having it tight enough. If the
tension is too loose then the cutter will move and can break off one of the fingers on the
retainer. It might be best for you to call me and I will walk you through the tension problem. 800-282-6631 ext.33
