High Tensile Fence Takedown

Author: Tom Kieffer  Date:   09-05-08 15:16 I have a significant amount of relatively new high tensile fencing that must be taken down. My main need is the right equipment to re-wind the high tensile wire, which is still in excellent condition. Is there something available or easily made for this task?

Author: Mandy  Date:   09-05-08 15:25 Tom, The only thing I know of is actually a wire dispenser. I've rewound wire onto a dispenser, but it was not easy at all. All of the spools that I have seen are meant to re-wind products are made for lighter weight stuff- not for hi-tensile wire.

Author: Mandy  Date:   12-02-08 14:06 Wire dispensers are spinning enny's- it can be done, just not easily. The wire is very stiff and usually has 'mind' of it's own. Also, it is very easy to kink the wire this way. When it kinks and you go to re-install it, chances are that the wire will break at the kink when you apply the tension.
