The Serrated ARS trimmers have become our favorite trimmers. They’re easy on our hands, agile and sharp. The serrated blade grips the hoof to prevent the trimmers from sliding off while you’re cutting. Safety catch is very sensitive, if the trimmers are closed and are bumped or dropped they will open.

Used these trimmers on our lambs. They were perfect for their small feet. The trimmers are small enough, and very sharp. Makes trimming very easy, with very little force necessary to cut the hoof.

I was very happy with the performance of these trimmers. I am experiencing arthritis pain in my hands and really appreciated the ease of operation. I did not have to apply hard force, these trimmers cut through my sheep and goats hooves like butter! thanks for providing a very high quality product.

Great quality hoof trimmers, it never pays to skimp on tools and I've never regretted spending a little more for the ARS trimmers.

These are the best clippers I've found. We have Boer goats and very dry weather as a rule, making for tough, tough hooves. These trimmers cut right through a hard hoof, and the blades don't slip or spread. Love them!

Absolutely the best hoof trimmers I've ever used and I've raised dairy goats for the past 9 yrs. I agree w/the other reviewer who said they cut right through hard, dry, summer hooves like butter, even the older bucks! Great product worth every penny spent. Thanks Premier1 for offering such a quality trimmer.

These are very good quality trimmers with nice sharp, good quality blades. They are a little small for my hands and the blades are just a little too short to trim the whole hoof with only only bite. The other problem is that the latch is not secure and the blades often spring open when in my pocket.

I must confess I have some does whose feet are in bad shape. It has been very difficult to trim the feet as they are big and rock hard. But not today! I purchased a pair of ARS 140 DXR, serrated edge hoof trimmers. Smooth cuts. The tough stuff was like cutting thick cardboard. Last time I trimmed hooves my hands had big blisters and were very sore. My hands are in great shape, only one small blister after 11 does (4 with really bad feet). My girls are on their way to having pretty feet. I am going to purchase 2 more of the hoof trimmers. If you are struggling with hoof trimming this is the way to go.

These are the best trimmers I have ever used. The serated edge realy gets a bite and the trimmers do not allow hoof material to twist betwwen the blades. They are well engineered. I would like to see the serated edge in the 3 inch blades.

I have owned the standard trimmers for about two years now and have been very satisfied with the performance. They stay sharp and slice through the tough hoof on my Boer buck. I recently bought the serrated trimmers and can honestly say that they are an improvement over the standard DXR. The serrations bite into the hoof material keeping them from slipping and sliding off the hoof during the cutting operation. This reduces fatigue and allows me to concentrate on making a more precise cut. My goats constantly jerk their rear feet when trimming and the serrations help keep the trimmer in place. These trimmers look like they will last a lifetime. Don’t forget the glove on the hand holding the hoof. Once again an excellent product from the folks at Premier.

Wow! These work like a sharm for my husband (finally a pair of clippers that cut!)But my teenage daughter dislikes them prefering the ones her dad doesn't like...it's one of those things that you kinda have to try to see if you like them.

I bought these trimmers assuming that I was buying the top of the line tool. I'm sure that the materials are of very high quality, and the blades are very sharp. But I was disappointed in two aspects of the construction: first, the safety catch does not stay securely in place; a slight bump of the trimmers causes the catch to release and the trimmers to pop open. Second, the rounded tips cross over each other just a bit. This means that when you use the trimmers to clean a hoof, both sharp tips are slightly exposed. Perhaps my pair were made when the quality control person had a bad day. I'm sure they will last much longer than any cheap farm store trimmers, but considering the price, I'm not sure I'd recommend them.

In the past we have used several of the traditional trimmers that you get @ your local farm store. They only made it through a few goats before the dullness, and frustration set in. Since the purchase of the ARS trimmer the task is much easier. The serrated edge gets a good grip, and cuts well. Hopefully they will hold their edge, and keep up the good work.

The ARS trimmer provide the ultimate in control. The steel slices throught hooves and makes the work a breeze. The locking mechanism does not get inadvertantly moved while in use. I am very satisfied with this product.

I've used these twice already, on a buck and a kid, they are sharp, and cut through the hard buck hoof like butter. I've used 2 pairs of the green handle clippers for 3 years, and had to sharpen them every other goat. If these stay sharp, they are going to be the best I've seen. Worth the extra money!!!

Without a doubt the ARS Trimmer is the best trimmer I have used. We have always used cheaper trimmers and finally got tires of them breaking and becoming dull so quickly. I'm very happy that we went with the higher quality trimmer this time!

I have owned these for just a short time, but I have used a number of different trimmers over the 30+ years I have raised goats. They are by far the best I have used for trimming hard dry hooves. At first I missed having the more pointed tips of the pair that I last used, but I quickly learned that the exceptional cutting abilities of the ARS makes up for the difference. And I agree that the rounded tips make them safer to handle.

Not only do these trimmers stay sharp, They can lay on top of the goatworker for months and will not rust. These trimmers will outlast 5 pairs of the of the cheaper brands. I begged Stan to stock these.

These hoof cutters are the best I`ve ever owned. This is the second pair I`ve purchased so I`ll have a spare when the first pair I bought needs to be sharpened. The first pair is at least a year old, and I have used them on my billies, as well as my doe`s, and they are still sharp. Well worth the money.

The best hoof trimmers! These are so much better than the regular green or orange handled trimmers that they are well worth the price. They cut hooves (even hard summer hooves) like butter, and they maintain their sharpness longer than the others.
