Fence Energizer for goats

Author: Becky Speiser  Date:   09-30-08 17:21 Have 2 acre area, fenced in hot wire with up to 4 to 3 strands all hot. The boer goats are going under the fence like it not on. We live a dry humid area in summer and wet in winter. What would be the best fence energizer for this problem? Thanks Becky

Author: Mandy  Date:   10-01-08 10:15 Becky, For a plug- in energizer I would recommend the Kube 3000. It works well in drier soils as well as in the most soils. Also, you may want to consider adding a strand and making it negative (grounded). When it is dry, the animals don't ground well, therefore they don't receive the same 'shock' value that they would if the ground was moist. If you make a lower strand grounded, then when they touch one of each (hot and grounded) they receive a better shock.
