sslick shearing Dorpers

My daughters use our home-grown Dorpers for market 4-H. Their wierd wool make them very hard to slick shear. Any suggestion on techniques and cutters/combs?

I assume the problem is that they still have some wool growing in amongst the hair. This is the worst scenario possible!

I would use a shearing machine to get as much off as possible, using the Spirit comb. It has 13 teeth with no flare so the likelyhood of an amatuer cutting the animal is less. After washing I would go back over with either a clipper head and a Fine blade (preferable, but might still have trouble with the wool/hair mixture) or if that doesn't work use the shearing machine with the 20 tooth Phantom R which will get you close enough to the skin for a slick shear look...
