broken strand on electronet

Question 1: I'm using 35" electronet to surround a two acre field. Looks like a deer got tangled in the top square along one section and actually broke the strand. It's mangled pretty badly. My questions is whether or not such a breakage will compromise the fence from a voltage standpoint? Should I replace the section with a new roll?

Question 2: Is there any advantage for planting a larger ground rod for the 20B energizer? I'm a little skeptical of the bracket and stand as the only ground. I'm trying to squeak as much effective juice out of my 165 mAH, 9V battery.

Question 3: Does Premier have a trade-up policy on energizers? I think I'm ready for more joules!

Thanks,

Brian

1. The top strand that is cut can be spliced back together and you will have
no problem with the power.
2. As long as you are getting 2-3000 volts on your fence the ground should
be ok. If your soil is very dry then a longer rod may be used.
3. At this time we do not have a trade up policy.
