Hi, I recently acquired an unfinished, hand made wooden crook. It's a beautiful crook, and it's a nice long crook like I've been looking for. My question is, what is the best way to treat the wood? It gets very wet here, and I don't want to ruin it. I also don't want any problems with the goats, and sheep. I have a few that mouth the end of the crook if I leave it on the fence while I do something. Any help would be appreciated.
