ceramic cutter sharpening

I have read on your website that you do NOT sharpen ceramic cutters. Do you recommend anyone who does sharpen these cutters? I purchased some from Premier for the spring shearing season and I am very satisfied with their performance.

Thanks,
Rob

I don't know anything about these cutters so can't help you but I was hoping to get a bit more info from you regarding your experience with them on sheep. How many sheep have you done with these cutters? (i guess I mean have you just bought 1 or 2 or have you been using them for a while?) What condition is the fleece you used them on in? I'm dealing will a lot dirty heads and mud crusted legs this year and wonder how these would stand up to those conditions. Right now I'm getting 2 to 3 head per the regular cutters and about twice that for the combs. How much better do you think these cutters might be? I'm using the Spirt combs; anything else, because of the mud, is taking too much skin along with the dried mud.

I am working under the assumption that they can't be re-sharpened so am considering them based on cost savings incurred not shipping them back and forth and the cost of sharpening.....so in order to save anything they have to last at least twice as long and/or lengthen the time between resharpening the combs
