I have a Navajo ewe, that was rescued. She is thin, but gaining some weight. She is in with the others, and eats grain with them. A 16% protein feed. My question is, is there something I can give her separate from the others, that will help her gain back the weight she needs, without putting fat on her? I hesitate to just give her more grain, because I don't want to over feed it. Any ideas?
She has gained about 8 pounds in the past month. Is that a good rate?
