Hand Shears

Hello,
Last year, I bought a pare of hand shears. I have cleaned them, let them dry, and oiled the blades, after every use. I just got them out though, and there was a small spot of rust on the blade. (I know that means that they couldn't have been totally dry, when I oiled them.) My question is, what can I do about the rust. Should I just clean them up, or have them re sharpened? They are the "Red Shank Hand Shear"

If the rust spot is on the cutting edge it will need to be sharpened or the rust spot will catch on the wool. If the area is "up" on the side of the blade cleaning it up with a rust remover and then oiling should be fine.

Thank you. I will start looking for someone to sharpen them. The rust is on the cutting blade.
