coughing

Dear Premier,
I just purchased my first two sheep, a yearling ewe and a lamb. However, the lamb has had a cough the past few days. She is eating and drinking fine and she is alert. So, is this cough allergies or something more serious?
-Thanks

With out being there I would not want to guess what it might be. You should
have a vet look at her.

I'm responding because a "barn cough" ran through our place as well. Most of the show flock and Market lambs (total of about 25) came down with the cough. The only thing that seemed to alleviate it was an extra drench with wormer. About 1 week later the coughing really slowed down. I may drench again, but I really only like to worm four times/year. Hope this helps, we run pure bred Southdowns and a Romney. Scott
