Poultry Netting

Hello,
I am in the beginning stages of starting a pastured poultry farm up in northern california. I am interested in using your poultry electric netting and I am trying to figure out how to run it on solar. I have looked at the different energizers/chargers that you sell, and I am confused as to how they work and how to determine which one I might need. I'm not sure about how the weeds affect the power and how long they work without full sun. Also, do the rolls of netting hook together somehow to make longer footage or do I need a charger for every roll?

Any information for a beginner is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Solar panels are battery rechargers that recharge batteries using sun light. The size of solar panel is dependant on the amount of draw (battery usage) that the energizer uses, the amount of sunlight (geographical location, year round usage or just summer usage). The more load (grass growing in fence) the stronger the energizer requirements. Poultry netting usually has heaver weed loads, due to design of fence (many strands close to soil level) thus larger energizer typically are required. Multiple fences (poultry net is designed to connect multiples together) can be operated from on energizer as long as the energizer is sized properly for the application. For you specific application may be best to call us (800-282-6631) so we can calculate a working system for you.

Thanks
Scott
