We are on the outskirts of town in a wooded subdivision. Each year we are seeing more deer come into our yard to feast on our plants and trees. The repellants work for a little while but can't spray everything even if it did.
I'm also concerned about putting up an electric fence due to safety issues; we do have neighbors. For visibility, I was looking at the wide tape conductor. In case someone doesn't see the tape, can they be hurt by the shock?
Have you done deer applications this way? If so, what was included in the overall installation, i.e., how many parallel lines, total feet of conductor, energizer, posts, insulators, etc.
We would have around 500' for one run around the perimeter of the area we are considering. If more than one run is required, will one energizer handle it OK? Are the lines connected in parallel electrically off the energizer? Would want to go with AC unit.
Thank you.
