GreenCote vs galv

I have had generally good luck with elec netting and polywire/polytape over the years, but the time has come to start putting in new boundry fence. (surprise......a 40 year fence lasts....40 years). I am considering HT on a small section to see how it goes. Does the green or gold coating conduct electricity to the animal as well as the plain galv? This fence will be in the woods, and need not be "good looking". I am considereing the plain 200,000, but for the little extra it will cost for this 1000 ft section of fence is the gold or green better? I also hope that this fence will also get power to a pasture that I don't use much because it is far from the barn. Will my (discontinued) 1206 push enough power that far and have enough to spare to run 6 or 7 rolls of Electronet(tm) hooked to the HT with a clip? Will the clip get as much power trrough the coating as it would from regular galv HT?

The green and gold coating will conduct every bit as good as the standard wire.
As the fence ages it will resist rusting as fast which will make it a better conductor.
The 1206 should have more than enough power to run the fence and the rolls of
net in the far pasture. Using a powerlink to take power from the HT fence to the
net fence will work well .

Thanks, my question was not clear, but you answered it. As I understand you, the green or gold coating does not insulate, and the powerlink will get full power through the coating.
