Sheering sheep tail and hyde

I am asking on what equipment to use to sheer my ewe's long tail and hyde. I want to have her standing when I do this. Please advise. Thanks, LDG

Hello,

You can use either an electrical set of shears or hand shears. If you want to use an electrical set, I would use the 3000s with a 20 tooth comb. If you would like to use hand shears, than the mini trims or the triple grounds would work well.

How do I do the sheering on the tail , around her hyde, teat and dock area?

The key is to know wear your blades are at during operation to avoid nicking. Shearing tail and udder area needs to be done carefully and cautiously removing fiber while keep wrinkles pulled tight.
