Beaver Damage
Author: A Wade

I have a beaver who is wreaking havoc on my property by chewing off braches, cutting down trees, and shrubs. He has created a dam in a drainage ditch accross the street in an empty lot. I have tried various things to deter him (fences, moth balls, etc.) but they have all been unsuccessful. I read somewhere that a single wire electric fences might work but I'm not sure what that entails. I looking for suggestions...

Hello,
We have had the most success at keeping beaver out of areas with the 20" VersaNet. A single wire isn't usually going to work for a beaver. For the VersaNet, you would need the netting, a handful of extra posts (21" PowerPosts) for the corners & where the terrain changes, an energizer (including hook up wires & a ground rod) and a fence tester.
