height of offset wire

on a woven wire fence that is 48 inches high, what height would y have a pigtail interior hot wire offset off the woven wire to best contain jersey steers and perhaps sheep. the woven wire is 6 x 12 spacing and we want to have animals graze as close to the fence as possible. thanks, noah

On the offsets I suggest using 6-8 inch and 28 inches from the ground up. Hope this helps.
