dog digging out

Info please: We already have a fence but our new dog is digging out to play with the dog next door. Therefore, we don't need a tall electric fence. Could you please recommend a fence and parts that we should order? I'm thinking a electric wire that we can attach to existing wooden posts along the bottom of the fence would work. Also, I would prefer a simple fence that we could just plug into a power source at the house.

Amy
By installing an electrified offset wire (IntelliTwine or other) at 6" above ground level should do the job. Recommended insulators would be the #390500 XL Ring Standoff Insulator that screws into the wood post offsetting the electrified strand 5" away from current fence. The 110 volt IntelliShock 53 (part #114500) should work well on up to 660'-1000' (if weed growth in wire is minimal) or the HotShock 150 (part# 114200) if weed pressure is heavy or longer fence distances are done.

Hope this helps

Thanks
Scott
