Clipper will not cut

I have a Premier 4000c that I have sheared 30-40 lambs with over the last 3 years. I bought the clipper new. The first year they worked great, no problems. I sent my blades in to be sharpened at premier and put them away til next year. The next year I put new blades in and sheared one lamb and they would not cut anymore. I switched blades and same thing. I went through four sets of blades. I ended up borrowing a set of clippers from someone else to finish. Sent my blades into Premier again to be resharpened. Last year started clipping and same thing. One lamb done and blades won't cut any more. So, borrowed a clipper(Premier 4000c) again and finished clipping using my blades. Now we figured hey, must not be the blades, must be the clipper. Anyway now I talked to another person with the 4000c and says they have the exact same problem. We use plenty of oil and don't use the clipper to do very many sheep. I always set the tension exactly like it says in the book. For what I paid for these clippers they should be better than that. What is the problem with these clippers?

I have had the same problem. Have sheared lambs for over 25 years, and never been so frustrated as I was with my last blade sharpen. The last sets I sent (6) to be sharpened did the exact same thing. A couple sets cut good for half a lamb others would not cut at all. all. I thought that high dollar lapping machine was provide a precision grind, and assure a good cut every time. I have not been happy. I can have blades sharpened locally, but for the price of a set of blades I wanted to extend life to the fullest. I hope you find the answer.

This is just a follow up on the problems we were having with our clipper. I talked to someone at Premier after my initial post. They told me to send the clipper into them to trouble shoot the problem. They fixed whatever was wrong and also sent me a check for the shipping. Just wanted to say the clippers work great again and also thanks for standing behind your product. We appreciate the good service. Thanks again.
