We have a older Fainting nannie that has a full set of horns. She get very agressive with them, to the point where we are afraid she will cause others in the herd to lose babies We've heard that you can put docking bands at the base of the horn. Any other thoughts or suggestions??

There is a lot of controversy regarding using docking bands on horns. Some people say it works great and isn't painful; others say its a terrible experience for them.

Your other option would be to have a vet remove the horns surgically. I don't know of anyone who has done this.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help with this issue.

I have a web sight about using the bands to dehorn. I have never done it myself, or for that matter, know anyone who has. It is an interesting read though.
