I am currently renovating a fence (~1 A) for horse (possibly lambs, too)containment. I've removed miles of barbed and rusty welded mesh wire. The T-posts in place are too short and being replaced. As typical here in Texas country, the corners and bracing are steel posts, but no higher than 42-48 inches high. The former owners extended the height of the fence by topping every other T-post and the end/brace posts with lengths of steel pipe, then strung several strands of barbed wire. The extensions on the steel end posts are not welded on, only wedged in with nails, and easily removed (most have fallen off after wire removed).
Problem: The new fence will be 5 feet high (back perimeter fence 6' high due to 'critters' visiting from the adjoining woods). The end and brace steel posts which are cemented in are not high enough to accomodate the new fence material (woven mesh topped with your electric tape).
Anyone have any ideas on how I can extend these steel posts for the new fencing? If an image would help to visualize it, one exists on my website (chronicaling the renovation for distant family).
(P.S. I used many of your products to fence/cross-fence a 20-A sheep/horse ranch in Oregon many years ago. A local farm supply carried your products. You have no idea how much I miss that farm supply store and the ease of choosing/buying your products here locally!)
