insulators for electric to wood fence
Author: Katie Pleasance

I have an existing wood rail fence and want to run tape or rope electric fencing within it. What insulator would be appropriate?

Thanks,

Katie

When installing an offset/scare wire on wood rail fences electrified ropes are usually used in stead of the Tape systems. Because of the wood rails the extra visability of the SW tape should not be needed. The #390300 Split ball offset will offset a rope 7" +/- from post and the #380600 will offset 2" +/- from post. Either insulator will work well, the best is dependant of how much offset is desired.

Thanks
Scott
