Energizer just stopped working

Author: Margie  Date:   06-16-05 12:23 I have a IntelliShock 20B Battery Energizer, turned it off to move my chickens. Was working fine. Went to turn it back on and it would not send out current. Battery tested fine, but the red light to indicate that it was working won't blink and no "click". What could be wrong? What should I be looking for? We have only had it two seasons. Thanks

Author: Scott  Date:   06-16-05 14:08 Margie Sounds like the fence was installed with a "short" causing the 20B to be shorted out (no effective shock in fence) Test this by turning unit off and disconnecting energizer from fence. Then test (with fence tester) the lead wire that was connected to fence. If tester shows good voltage then the fence is probable short. Fault need to be found and repaired in fence the reconnect and energize. Thanks Scott

Author: Margie  Date:   06-16-05 15:46 Scott - My bad I failed to say that I had in fact gone through testing with the fence testor. Nothing registered on the tester. So I pulled your alls' cataloge to get some tips on trouble shooting and when they didn't help, came here. Could there something wrong with the unit itself? Maybe a card that needs to be replaced or something?
