Powering 1 strand HT wire on to of woven without Supa tube

HI do you know if you would lose alot of power buy charging a one strand of 1,000 of HT wire that does not touch the woven wire thats all ready been installed without Supa tube?

By not insulating the electrified strand the wood posts will short the energizer wire. The amount of shorting will be dependant on moisture levels of posts and air as well as the size of energizer. Some days may work other days will be shorted out.

the charger will be a patriot .5 joule it rains alot anly at night and have only a couple goats.

The overall results you will have will be some days the fence will be fine and other days the fence will be shorted out because of no insulators. Will be very much weather and moisture related. Installing insulators (#380800 or supatubes) will make a more reliable system.

It has already been installe a while back before it bought the house do you reconmend
putting up intelli twine ?

Adding additional electrified strands such as IntelliTwine on insulators as you mentioned would probably be the easiest modification to make.
